Brownies
Description: Served warm or cool, brownies are always a treat
Preparation time: 20-25 minutes + 30 minutes baking time
Serves: 12 approx
Ingredients: 100g / 4oz Butter or margarine
50g / 2oz Plain chocolate
75g / 3oz Peaches and Cream Princess Marshmallows
125g / 5oz Soft, dark brown sugar
2 Medium eggs, beaten
teaspoon Vanilla flavouring
100g / 4oz Self-raising flour
Pinch of Salt
50g / 2oz Walnuts, chopped
To decorate: Icing sugar, sieved
Preparation:
- Pre-heat the oven to Mark 4 (180C/350F) then gently heat the butter, chocolate and Princess Peaches and Cream Marshmallows in a medium sized pan until melted. Stir continuously to prevent sticking
- After allowing this to cool, add the sugar, eggs and vanilla flavouring and then stir in the flour, salt and walnuts
- Grease and line the base of a 20cm (8 inch), approximately 5cm (2 inch) deep with grease proof paper and transfer the mixture
- Bake in your pre-heated oven for 30 minutes or until the surface is set and crispy, and the inside soft
- Turn out and leave to cool. You can then dust with icing sugar before cutting into slices and serving
